Sometimes we make the assumption that we are not good enough, or our work is not good enough, before we allow ourselves to be judged by anyone else. We don’t apply for the job we want, because we think THEY won’t hire us. We don’t submit our story for publication, because we think THEY will reject it. We have concluded that THEY won’t like us or our work before we even ASK THEM. If you fear rejection, the least you could do is not reject yourself.
